The Baltic trio of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania were the fastest-growing regulated online markets in Europe during 2021, the second year of robust regional expansion following the onset of COVID-19. Spain was the only locally licensed European jurisdiction to decline in market size during 2021, while major markets including the UK, Italy and Sweden exhibited decelerated growth against tough prior-year comparatives.
