The Role:
This role has been created because Vixio needs to be more deliberate, consistent and data-led in how demand is created across the business, ensuring marketing activity translates into high-quality demand and a healthy pipeline.
As Head of Demand Generation, you’ll take hands-on ownership of how demand is generated, captured and progressed from first touch through to qualified pipeline. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, planning demand programmes, reviewing performance and making informed decisions about where to focus time and investment.
While you’ll work collaboratively across Marketing, Sales and Product, your day-to-day impact comes from doing the work: shaping demand plans, running and refining programmes, analysing results and adjusting course based on what the data is telling you. You’ll bring structure and clarity to demand creation, ensuring activity is intentional, prioritised and aligned to business goals.
At its core, this role is about accountability and ownership, understanding where demand is coming from, how it’s performing and continuously improving the way Vixio generates pipeline through marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Creation & Pipeline Ownership
- Own the creation of demand across priority segments and regions, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified leads into the pipeline.
- Translate revenue targets into clear demand plans, identifying where leads should come from, through which channels and for which audiences.
- Monitor demand health across the funnel (lead volume, quality, conversion rates) and proactively adjust plans where performance is off track.
- Partner with Sales leadership to align on lead definitions, handover expectations and feedback loops.
Integrated Demand Programmes
- Work with the marketing team to plan and run integrated, multi-channel demand programmes spanning digital, content-led campaigns, events, webinars, email nurture and partner activity.
- Ensure programmes are mapped to the buyer journey, with appropriate tactics and assets at each stage (awareness, consideration, conversion).
- Build repeatable demand frameworks that can scale globally while remaining adaptable to regional needs.
Data, Insight & Optimisation
- Use data and insight to guide decisions, understanding what’s working, what isn’t and why.
- Work closely with Marketing Operations to track performance, analyse conversion points and improve campaign effectiveness over time.
- Champion a test-and-learn approach, using experimentation to refine channel mix, messaging and investment.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work in close partnership with Sales, Product Marketing, Content and Customer teams to ensure demand activity supports wider commercial goals.
- Act as a connector across teams, aligning timing, messaging and priorities to avoid fragmented execution.
- Provide demand insights that help inform go-to-market planning and product positioning discussions.
Team & Capability Development
- Bring clarity, structure and focus to how demand generation operates within marketing.
- Coach and support team members involved in demand activity, setting clear expectations and measures of success.
- Identify opportunities to improve tools, processes and ways of working to support scale and efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Significant experience owning or influencing demand generation in B2B SaaS or technology sectors serving financial services, compliance or other regulated industries.
- Proven experience designing and executing integrated, multi-channel campaigns that deliver measurable results.
- Strong understanding of the buyer journey and experience building lead-nurture programmes.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and experience using marketing automation, CRM and analytics tools.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Strategic yet hands-on - you plan effectively, act decisively and deliver consistently.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills - you translate complex topics into inclusive, audience-relevant marketing.
- Collaborative and confident working cross-functionally with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience with partner or channel marketing is an advantage.
- A growth mindset - you’re curious, adaptable and motivated to continuously learn and improve.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience in regulatory, compliance or financial services sectors.
- Familiarity with account-based marketing (ABM) principles.
- Global or multi-region campaign experience.
