On July 27, 2026, the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) issued Normative Instruction No. 766, publishing version 8.5 of the Operational Manual for the Directory of Identifiers of Transaction Accounts (DICT), which forms part of the Pix regulation. The update introduces several modifications to Pix operations and repeals Normative Instruction BCB No. 752, of July 1, 2026. Key changes include:
Normative Instruction No. 766 takes effect in two phases: amendments to sections 10.1 and 20.1.5 take effect on August 10, 2026, while amendments to sections 20.1.1, 20.1.9, and 20.2 and the repeal of Normative Instruction BCB No. 752 taking effect September 1, 2026.
On May 27, 2026, the Colorado General Assembly enacted HB 26-1110, which creates the Adults' Security and Safeguards from Exploitation in Transactions (ASSET) Act regarding the protection of vulnerable adults from financial exploitation. The law authorises a qualified individual at a bank or credit union to delay account disbursements when there is reasonable suspicion that an eligible adult is the victim of financial exploitation. The law also requires financial institutions to provide investigating agencies and law enforcement with access to relevant records, noting that these documents are not considered public records under the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA). The law takes effect on August 12, 2026.

On June 23, 2026 the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Ghana issued a directive requiring all online investment platforms, fintech operators, and digital trading service providers to regularise their operations by obtaining the necessary licences and approvals before August 31, 2026. The regulator stated that the directive comes amid the increasing presence of online investment and trading platforms offering access to both local and foreign securities markets without the required regulatory approval. The directive comes into effect upon publication.
