🚀 The Opportunity:

As part of our exciting, newly adopted team operating model, we are shifting to small, high-ownership product pods - pairing a Product Engineer with a Product Owner to co-own a product area end-to-end. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape, scale, and influence how we build and deliver innovative RegTech solutions combining structured regulatory content, workflow-driven applications, and AI-powered intelligence. With senior engineering guidance, you will help refine buildable specs, translate user needs into reliable, high-quality features, and ensure we solve the right problems for our customers while influencing how engineering at Vixio evolves.

As an AI-native team, we operate through a clear, structured flow where complex problems are defined into specs and rapidly built into high-impact releases. As a Product Engineer, you will stay hands-on writing, reviewing, and shipping software - often through fast-paced pair-programming with Claude, where you direct the technical vision and make key decisions. While AI accelerates routine implementation and streamlines our pipeline, true ownership, product taste, and engineering accountability remain squarely with you.

You will prioritise steady delivery, care deeply about code quality and user metrics, and collaborate actively on post-launch improvements. Lightweight daily and weekly rituals keep our pods aligned, while speed comes from our streamlined workflow and AI integration. This role offers significant room for technical growth within your product area, and structured mentoring from senior leadership.

🛠️ What you’ll be doing:

• Partner with your Product Owner to shape requirements and specs, refining complex regulatory domain needs into clear, buildable specifications before code is written.
• Communicating technical, operational or design challenges, particularly when a solution / feature addition is not well defined enough to build.
• Co-own product area delivery end-to-end within your pod, taking full engineering accountability from data model through API and front end to production releases.
• Be accountable for shipping fast. You set the pace of your pod in collaboration with your Product Owner, find the shortest credible path to value, and get working software in front of customers sooner rather than later
• Direct technical vision and speed up delivery by pair-programming with Claude, making key architectural decisions and helping scale our structured AI-native delivery pipeline.
• Apply strong engineering accountability and product taste to critically review AI-generated code, catching hallucinations, edge cases, security risks, and wrong assumptions before shipping.
• Make pragmatic product and UX decisions in the moment to keep delivery moving
• Own quality, security, performance, testing, observability, and maintainability of what you ship, and stand behind it once it is live in an ISO 27001-aligned environment
• Use automated tests, logging, metrics, and monitoring to catch problems early and diagnose production issues quickly
• Track user metrics, real usage data, and customer feedback alongside your Product Owner to measure feature impact and guide post-launch improvements.
• Understand how your product drives commercial outcomes, and make sensible trade-offs between speed, scope, and long-term health with that in mind
• Contribute to the evolution of our Regulatory Change Management platform, sharing AI-native practices to raise the bar across engineering while receiving structured mentoring for your own growth.
• Work closely with other engineers, domain experts, and commercial teams where a product crosses pod or platform boundaries
• You will be expected to understand the business logic behind regulatory and compliance workflows, not just the code that implements them.

• Technical Expertise: Full-stack capability across modern JavaScript/TypeScript (Vue.js, Nuxt, Node.js, NestJS), PostgreSQL, Redis, REST/GraphQL APIs, AWS, and CI/CD. • Nice to Have: Experience with LLM integrations, regulated domains, custom Drupal modules, Salesforce integrations, graph/vector databases (Neo4j, Pinecone), or Docker/Kubernetes.
