The U.S. gaming industry has made tremendous strides in offering responsible gaming programs, but there are still issues to be addressed. Among those critical issues is funding for treatment and prevention programs.

Keith Whyte is the executive director of the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). The non-profit’s mission is to minimize the economic and social costs associated with gambling addiction.
